The In-credible Mr. Bush
When reporter David Gregory asked a simple, obvious question of the president, why Bush should be considered a credible source on terrorism, he was accused by him of endangering the lives of his own children.
Isn’t that just like Bush to accuse others of the sins he has committed.
A quick tally of how many children have lost their lives because of Bush shows where the real danger lies. He’s killed more than 3300 of our kids, more than 100,000 (conservatively) Iraqi children, the US backed Somali war for oil is killing children as are the US backed attack on Lebanon and the insurrection against the US puppet government is Lebanon. We finance Israel’s exquisitely cruel genocide and are fomenting unrest in Iran when thousands more children will die when Bush bombs them.
Three cheers for David Gregory for standing head and shoulders above the crowd. When a simple question sounds like sedition, you know this country is on the highway to hell. Mr. Gregory had every right and indeed a Constitutional duty to ask that question. Mr. Bush had a duty to give him a credible answer.
Hint: If every reporter asked at least one obvious question instead of printing White House pap, we could watch Mr. Bush melt away like the wicked witch of the north.
Mr. Bush went on to say that he was a credible source because he reads the intelligence reports. Right.
If Mr. Bush’s reading comprehension skills are anything like his language skills, it is little wonder Al Qaida had such an easy time taking out the Twin Towers or that we were dragged into the Iraq quagmire for a pack of lies.
It’s not that Bush is only lacking credibility on matters of national security; he’s a compulsive liar. One would be hard put to find any subject that he has lied outright or attempted to deceive. In an ordinary citizen, it is pitiable. In a president, it is impeachable.
The Democrats should be calling on Mr. Bush to answer Gregory’s question. Should Mr. Bush be trusted on matters of national security? They a have a duty to do so because a president who is unable to tell the difference between fact and fancy is a clear and present danger to the Republic.
Instead they have become the servants of an administration of lies and damned lies in which countless children’s lives are a nightmare of suffering and death.
The Democrats “strategy” is to attack Bush for what he is doing instead of stopping it. It is beyond cynical for Democrats to think that same Americans who gave them the power last November to end the Bush nightmare do not understand that the Democrats are refusing to use that power. The blame will be theirs for inability to see that simple fact.
