Gore, Kerry, Clinton in '08 NOT

Providing the US still has elections in 2008, I shudder at the prospect of being faced with the unappetizing choice of three warmed over entrees on the Democratic ticket.
After all that we have suffered at the hands of both parties, the dimwitted Democratic leadership's efforts to serve up left overs is truly insulting.

I applaud Gore for his stirring rhetoric.
He should do a lot more of it.
Hooray for his film. Can't wait for the next one.
Continue with the 12 step program Al. We really want you to succeed as a recovering politician.

What I remember most about your run for the presidency is your willingness to help GW Bush get selected to the White House.
Who can forget the Michael Moore moment when you presided over the Senate and gave the shut up to the Congressional Black Caucus as one after another they protested the disenfranchisement of their constituents.
If you were unable to get one Senator to support the House in calling a rigged election a rigged election, how can we expect you to stand up to a GOP bloated with power and hubris.
How can we expect you to stand up for us when you didn't stand up for yourself.

As part of the Clinton White House that opted to pass on a real Iran Contra investigation in favor of oursuing a domestic agenda, I really don't think you are what we need right now.
It is unlikely that the Bush presidency would exist after his father's complicity was exposed.

Do yourself and your country a favor. Support a viable candidate.

Kerry showed us in '04 that the magnificient young man he was, is no more.
Decades of the politics of compromise and easy living has killed whatever passion this man once had. He was so cowed and beaten that he couldn't even find a way to force the press to print the truth about his military record.
When he walked away from the scandalous outrage that was Ohio with $8,000,000 dollars in his war chest leaving the Green party to clean up his mess, I was really sorry I had worked for him.

Did he become a firebrand in the Senate after slinking away from Ohio? How do you spell "hiding behind Reid's skirts".
On too many critical votes, Kerry has been busy elsewhere.
When the Democrats were"laying back and thinking of England" on the Alito nomination, he was
in Switzerland.

The last thing this poor disheveled, robbed and raped country needs is for the "opposition party" to fund failed presidential candidates who Karl Rove has all ready carved up and served on a platter.

As for you Hillary, if I wanted Newt Gingrich or Rupert Murdoch to have more power, I'd register as a Republican.
If I wanted less choice for women, I'd become a member of the Christian coalition.
If I wanted the US to engage in illegal wars and war crimes, I would have voted for Bush both times.
I don't need a Democrat to help me and neither does anyone else.

And Hillary, it's about your taste in men. You marry a womanizer and think George Bush is charming? George Bush is about as charming as a snake. But then he is one.

Hilary, imagine we are on a ferry boat on Puget Sound. All the passengers bought tickets to Orcas Island where the government is still a constitutional Democracy.

The Captain of the boat(Bush) is drunk (again) and has completely blown off his responsibilities.
He wants to putter around the Sound, go fishing and visit some friends on a private island where the passengers won't be welcome.

The passengers are getting desperate. The boat has hit a couple of rocks and is leaking badly.
Their children are being rounded up and shipped off to God knows where.
Food and water are running out, toilets are overflowing, their familes don't know where they are and fighting is breaking out.

The passengers appeal to the first mate and the crew (you and the Democrats) to take matters in hand and get the ferry back on course.
How do the first mate and crew respond? They join the captain up on the bridge taking hits out of his bottle, baiting his hook and try to wangle an invitations to the island.

You're not taking us where we want to go.

Even after five years of relentless pounding and shameless propaganda by right wing zealots and proto fascists, the country is still overwhelmingly liberal on every issue.

For five years the overwhelming majority of Americans have had no one who to represent them. The government of special interests, hucksters, graft and corruption has been an unmitigated disaster.

The country is on the rocks and you want to hang out with the people that put us there?

We don't have to do business with these people, Hillary.
We need to put these people out of business.
