Spinning Out of Control

Karl Rove is losing his touch. He is turning damage control into Saturday Night Live. The talking points are falling flat and the mighty Wurlitzer is sounding off key.

Tony Snow called Foley’s sexually predatory trolling among the youngsters Foley is in loco parentis, “playful”.

Russ Limburger sez Rep.Foley was set-up. It was all coordinated by the Democrats, he chirps. While that may have been true of the Lewinsky scandal (GOP accusations are invariably a mirror image of their own iniquities), it hardly describes this situation. No set up goes on for 12 years.

Bush calls Foley’s tragic illness, compounded by the complicity of his friends “all political”. That may be the way Bush sees the world; everything is personal and the only purpose worthy of the name is political gain, but that doesn’t make it real.

They even tried to blame it on Bill Clinton by excavating the Lewinsky scandal in which Clinton appeared to be the prey rather than the predator. Then they tried blaming it on the gays only some smartie dug up the research disproving the theory that homosexuals were also pedophiles.

I’m getting reeeaaalllllyyy bored with the GOP.
They control all three branches of government, have managed to bully their membership and some of ours into snatching away our civil rights and they still want to claim they are victims.
There is not a shred of responsibility to share out between the whole lot of them.
Whenever they get in trouble because of their ineptitude or moral turpitude, they try and shift the blame onto someone else.

By definition, the new GOP are small men and women who have not the requisite strength, moral courage or intelligence to govern themselves, let alone be trusted with responsibility for others.

In case you think Foley was a “one off” take a gander at what other self-righteous, members of the family values mafia are up to during their leisure hours.

I hope this sad and sorry chapter in America's history teaches us what others have all ready learned.
People that are desperate for power and who will stop at nothing to get it, are the last people on earth who should be trusted with power.
