MR. PRESIDENT
Obama hands health care over to the mercenary and indecent corporations: the same ones that drive up costs, ration care and let 22000 people die each year unnecessarly. If you're not angry, you're not paying attention.

President Obama,
Americans did not elect you to throw a lifeline to most destructive forces in our society. They elected you to restore the balance of power outlined in the Constitution. They elected you to restore responsible governance. We needn't have bothered to have an election. Your policies are identical to Bush's.
From war to shifting more wealth into the hands of ruling elite, ignoring the plight of hard pressed working Americans, your policies are the mirror image of your predecessor.

Yet nothing outlines your failure to fulfill your promise more clearly than your willingness to leave the health of Americans in the hands of same mercenary and dangerous for-profit health care industry that destroyed it.
Like your predecessor, the best solutions to the health care crisis were not even considered. Americans were shut out of the debate and no independent expertise was sought.
They would have told you that health care reform without a robust public option and bargaining power isn't reform. It's a handout to special interests that saddles tax payers with the bill for the indigent and the unprofitable. No amount of spin will change that reality.

To date, the only change the Democratic government has managed to effect is the Party affiliation of those granting the license to steal.

Your strategists seem to think progressives will sit not out the next election if you betray them on health care. I can assure you they are wrong. There is nothing in an Obama presidency for us. I am putting you, my congressman and senators on notice that if health care legislation is passed without a full bargaining power and a robust public option then I will sit out the next election. I'm asking 20 of my friends to join me.
